    Reign Assurance

Know whether AI-enabled work can be relied on, and show why.

AI agents can create business activity at a scale, speed and variability that many governance and assurance processes were not built to review continuously. Reign Assurance is being designed to help business and risk leaders see whether defined AI-enabled work met its intended outcomes and stayed within agreed risk and regulatory requirements.

Read this before anything else. Reign Assurance is not sold and is not shipping. Nothing here has been run against a live estate, and no customer relies on it today. iTmethods does not issue an audit opinion or a certification, and nothing here is independent assurance of anyone’s controls. Reign prepares the evidence; the people who own the risk decide.
    Why it matters

Keep material risk, oversight and outcomes visible as AI-enabled work expands.

    Scale AI with control

Expand AI-enabled work while keeping material risk and oversight visible.

Know what can be relied on

Assess whether defined work met its requirements and produced an acceptable business outcome.

    Focus attention where it matters

Surface exceptions, gaps and unsupported outcomes so responsible owners can prioritize review and action.

    Keep governance in step

Apply repeatable assurance as workflows, risks and requirements change.

    The operating model

Assurance before, during and after AI-enabled work

Continuous Agentic Assurance is the practice of applying requirements, checks and evidence across the operating lifecycle of AI-enabled work, with results and exceptions available to business, risk, compliance, audit and engineering owners for review and action.

Before — establish the conditions for the work

Name the scope, intended outcome, requirements, authority, approvals and evidence sources that must exist before the work begins.

During — run the checks at the required point

Apply runtime, event-driven or scheduled checks according to the requirement, risk, reversibility, available evidence and existing controls. Preserve each result with its supporting evidence.

After — reconcile the work and assess the outcome

Reconcile or reperform where required, test the recorded business outcome, and present results, exceptions, coverage and limitations for review and action.

    Requirement to evidence

Trace each result from its requirement to its supporting evidence.

Requirement — What must be true.

A business, risk, control or regulatory expectation.

Assertion — What can be established.

The specific proposition the assurance result may support.

Check — How it is assessed.

The technique used to evaluate, validate, reconcile or reperform the requirement, including human review where required.

Evidence — What supports the result.

Operating records, approvals, traces and observed outcomes.

A check is designed to produce a result with its evidence, coverage, exclusions and exceptions attached; results and open exceptions then move to the review-and-act stage.

    What is different

Reign Assurance is designed to assess the work and its business outcome using evidence from the systems in scope.

Assure the work and business outcome

Assess the AI-enabled work that matters to the business and the outcome it produces.

Use evidence beyond the AI system

Reign Assurance is being designed to use evidence from the systems that execute, authorize and record the work. Illustrative co-design example: for an AI-assisted refund, compare the approved amount with the payment system’s record of the amount credited, and identify any mismatch or missing evidence for review.

Show exactly what the evidence supports

Make coverage, exclusions, exceptions and the basis for each conclusion visible.

    Results and evidence

The results Reign Assurance is being designed to produce.

Reign Assurance is being designed to record results as supported, not supported or inconclusive, with their evidence and exceptions. The design routes an inconclusive result to a named person for review and records their decision. Until that decision, the result remains inconclusive — never a pass.

The current verifier runs outside Reign against the evidence package and tests it for internal consistency. Reign’s systems and database are outside that verification path.

Origin is established against a key obtained separately from iTmethods. The strength of that verification depends on how the recipient obtains and handles the key.

Reign prepares the evidence. The assurance and reliance judgments stay with your business, risk, compliance and audit experts, and any audit opinion or certification stays with their auditors.
